  • Device only, if you want. Files can sync directly between your own devices with no third-party cloud.
  • Or add a cloud you choose. Connect a decentralized network like Storj or Filecoin, or a private cloud like Wasabi or Backblaze.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use SyncNode today?

SyncNode is in development and the early access list is open now. Sign up below and you will be invited as testing opens. The public 1.0 release is planned for late 2027, as shown on the roadmap.

Do I need a cloud storage account?

No. SyncNode can keep your files synchronized directly between your own devices. Adding a decentralized or private cloud is optional, for when you want an extra off-site copy.

Which devices will it support?

SyncNode is being built for Mac, Windows, Android and iPhone. Desktop apps are developed first, with iOS and Android apps planned for the public release.

How is my account protected?

Every account uses 2-factor authentication. You can use an authenticator app such as Authy or Google Authenticator, or a physical hardware key such as a YubiKey.

Is SyncNode for businesses too?

Yes. SyncNode for Business adds device groups by team and office, with the same storage choices. See SyncNode for Business.
